The village is located about 18km. east of Brno. Lies in the Highlands and Drahany Dyjskosvrateckého valley. Part of the cadastral territory borders the district Vyškov. Part of the village is The Old Post Office site in house number six, which lies 2 km. south of the main part of the village. Napoleon's chapel is built in memory of the fallen Russian officer and Russian soldiers. Then there is the historic building which used to toll and the inn. Dam "Potočiny" located above the village towards the woods "Greeks". The valley is a playground TJ Sokol with changing rooms and game room.
