Moravian Knínice is a village in the district Brno-Country in the Southern Region. It lies about 18 km northwest of Brno in Brno volcanics. Moravian Knínice neighbors to the west with Chudčice, in the northeast and the Sentice ČEBÍN and East Kuřim. In the south lies the wooded areas of the Brno Reservoir and Park. Kníničky square is dominated by single-aisle Gothic-Baroque church of St. Margaret in the presbytery of 1366 Behind the church stands a monument to the memory of soldiers killed in WWI. On the hill on the way to the Sands is a Baroque Chapel of St. Cyril and Methodius, was built in 1856. Major features of the landscape and local attractions are connected by a nature trail.
